Introducing our Director for Bristol
We are delighted to announce that Paul Kinnaird will serve as our Local Director for churches in Bristol and the surrounding area.
To help local churches with “on the ground” support, FIEC is appointing a team of ‘Local Directors’. These are men, experienced in church ministry, who can give time to the leaders and churches in a specific region of the country.
In 2026, we are seeking to increase the coverage across the UK of this regional support.
With that in mind, we are delighted that Paul Kinnaird has been appointed to serve as Director for Bristol.
Paul trained for ministry in London Seminary and went on to serve in two churches: first in Kent and then for 28 years at Bankhall Mission Church in Bootle, North Liverpool.
On retirement, he relocated to Bristol to be nearer family and, in September 2025, was appointed Associate Pastor at Headley Park Church in the city.
He will now be using his ministry experience to serve church leaders in Bristol and the surrounding area for one day a week on a voluntary basis.
He joins a team of twelve local directors, led by our Associate National Director Graham Beynon. He said:
“Paul brings his long ministry experience to this new role and I am sure he will be a source of strength and wisdom to our leaders and churches in Bristol and the surrounding area; it’s great to have him as part of our expanding team.”
Paul said about his new role:
“In 35 years of pastoral ministry, I was always convinced of the importance of good engagement with other leaders. This contributed to being sustained in the challenges and demands of the work over those years.
With that conviction, I hope to be able to offer some help, encouragement, and support to the churches in Bristol and the surrounding region."
