Pray for our churches

Praise God for nine years of ministry as we celebrated the anniversary of our first service recently. Please pray that we would continue to grow in love and unity together.

Please pray for the elders in the next term - there will be a greater burden on them as they search for a new pastor.

Please ask God for clarity and unity as we seek to appoint a second full-time member of pastoral staff - for clarity on the role, provision of finance, and that the Lord would lead us to the right person.

Please ask God for new members and congregation - we will be struggling to keep some of our outreach works going in the New Year without some additional help.

Give thanks to God that our pastor is able to visit nine primary schools in the area for school assemblies - Bible story, song, quiz, and prayer. Pray that there may be many like Timothy: "...from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus."

We are a small church with only one family with children. We would love to invite children and families back to some other outreach this term, but to do so we probably need some extra pairs of hands. Please pray that we would be creative in gospel partnerships to make sure we can continue to share our hope with families in Easingwold. Please pray that God would send us both temporary workers who can lend a hand for one-off events, but also permanent workers who would join with us in making Jesus known in Easingwold long term. Please pray that we would see a family saved in the next year, who will then become bold evangelists in the town.

Give thanks for an excellent holiday club at the start of the summer. With help from our mother church (Grace Church Boroughbridge) and a partner church in Texas (New Hope Baptist Church), we were able to share our hope with 40 children across three days. Thank God for gospel partnership and for seeds being sown. Thank him for the nine or ten families who joined us for lunch at the end of the holiday club and the family who came on the following Sunday for the first time.
