Local Conferences 2021

Online conferences for pastors and other church leaders.

Many of the struggles and challenges faced by leaders of local churches are relational not theological.

A right understanding of the gospel is worked out in right relationships with other believers as we treat every believer as equal children of God.

To lead and serve rightly we need to live by the Spirit so that his fruit is seen in the way we relate to all our brothers and sisters. This is the only way to serve in a Christ-like and Christ-honouring way that unites rather than divides God’s diverse family.

At this year's Local Conferences, we will explore the relational nature of the fruit of the Spirit and how important they are for Christian leaders. We will then consider two potential blind spots for local church leaders: how we relate to women in the church and how we relate to those from different cultures.

Who can attend?

Our Local Conferences seek to strengthen pastors in their ministry and help foster meaningful partnerships between FIEC church leaders. In that sense, these conferences are primarily designed for FIEC pastors and leaders, as well as members of the Pastors' Network. However, please do feel free to encourage local non-FIEC pastors who would share the gospel heart of FIEC to attend with you.

Locations

To ensure church leaders can connect and partner with other church leaders in their area, we have organised the online conferences by region. You can use the map below to find your "nearest" conference. However, if your area is not covered, you've missed your local meeting, or you cannot make the date or time of the one for your area, please do sign-up to any one you wish.

This year, all of the conferences up to Easter will be online via Zoom. We'll continue to review whether the following conferences will be online or in-person. Online conferences will take place 10:30-12:45 and in-person conferences will be 10:30-15:30.

Cost & Booking

Attendance is free of charge, but you must still book your place in advance.

Please sign up using the links below and full instructions (including any video conference links) will be sent to you by email prior to the event.
