Planters Gather to Share, Plan, and Dream (Planters 2026)

50 men and women gathered at Planters for encouragement, to share experiences, and to pray for the kingdom to grow across the country.

One of the ways we can see Britain reached for Christ is to work to have a gospel-centred church in every community. So, we need to see new churches planted across the UK.

Planters is one of the ways FIEC is seeking to address this need, by gathering those who are leading church plants, who are planting churches, or who are considering a church plant, for encouragement, to share experiences, and to pray for the kingdom to grow across the country.

50 men and women met for 24 hours at Highgate House in Northamptonshire with teaching from Dai Hankey, a pastor and church planter based in Cardiff, who passionately preached about Jesus as the Good Shepherd who not only cares for church planters, but sets an example.

Seminars at the conference covered the topic of ecclesiology when planting, how to develop a culture of prayer in new churches, and common lies planters’ wives believe (and how to confront them).

There was time to share exciting news from plants across the country, to share plans for plants in the future, and to commit them to the Lord in prayer together. Plus social time to develop relationships over coffee and mealtimes.

Graham Beynon, Associate National Directors for FIEC who focuses especially on church planting, said:

“It is genuinely helpful and encouraging for planters to meet together and hear from God and each other. And it’s so helpful for those considering planting to rub shoulders with those a couple of years down the line.

“Our hope for Planters is that would-be-planters, about-to-be-planters, and recently-started-planters would gather together each year for a time of encouragement, training, and mutual support. That’s what we experienced this year and we’re very grateful for it.”
