Primer was published by FIEC twice a year from 2015 to 2021, with issues 10 to 12 being a partnership between FIEC and Oak Hill College. Designed to help those in church leadership stay theologically sharp and engaged, each issue focuses on one area of theology, surveying current debates alongside historical perspectives.

Though originally only available in print, this issue of Primer is now available as a free PDF download.

David Shaw
David Shaw

David is pastor of Woodstock Road Baptist Church in Oxford, having previously lectured in New Testament and Greek at Oak Hill College, London. He was the editor of FIEC's theological publication Primer whilst he served as FIEC's Theological Adviser.

Dan Green
Dan Green

Dan Green is the pastor of Banstead Community Church, Surrey, and has been in this role for more than 10 years. He is married to Kate and they have three children.

Tim chester
Tim Chester

Tim Chester is the pastor of Grace Church Boroughbridge and a faculty member of Crosslands Training. He is the author of a number of books and a regular speaker at conferences around the world.

Julian Hardyman 2022
Julian Hardyman

Julian is part of the missionary team at Good News Hospital in Mandritsara, Madagascar, with his wife Debbie. He was previously pastor of Eden Baptist Church in Cambridge for more than 25 years.
