Ensuring you have conducted a thorough COVID-19 risk assessment is key to reopening your church building safely. However, the desire to meet again physically after so long could cause the temptation to fill out an assessment as simply a tick-box exercise.
We spoke to Julian Wilks, a chartered environmental health practitioner (and member at Christchurch Harborough) , to discuss the importance of risk assessments and their legal implications, plus some tips on where to start with assessing the risk in your church building.
