Thrive is FIEC's retreat for women in ministry serving in FIEC churches.
The retreat is an opportunity for women in ministry to be refreshed through Bible teaching, training, fellowship, and reflection.

Theme and speaker
We are delighted that Elinor Magowan, FIEC Director for Women’s Ministry, will be our main speaker at Thrive 2024.

Elinor Magowan
Elinor will speak from Jesus’ “I am” sayings in the Gospel of John.
Elinor will share from the declarations that the Lord Jesus Christ makes regarding his identity so that we will be encouraged to trust him more and to be able to stand firm in our faith - as well as to hold out his uniqueness to others, especially to women in our churches.
Elinor and Rachel Sloan (also FIEC Director for Women’s Ministry) will host the retreat and are working on a programme which will enable women in ministry to be refreshed and further equipped for ministry of various kinds.

Times and venue
Thrive will start with lunch at 12pm on Monday 29 April and end after lunch at 2pm on Wednesday 1 May.
The retreat will be held at The Hayes Conference Centre in Derbyshire. The Hayes offers us single occupancy rooms with en-suite facilities, good food, and beautiful surroundings. We have a large meeting room and other rooms to meet in, plus it is easy to get to.
We will be working hard to provide the feel of a retreat and ensuring that you can relax and are refreshed through our time together.
There will be time in the programme to chat with others in ministry and to also have time on your own to reflect on your own growth in faith.

We are praying that we will be each drawn closer to the Lord Jesus and encouraged to continue faithfully and joyfully in the work he has given us to do. There will be plenty of opportunity to discuss in small groups what we hear during the main sessions, to receive some training, and to pray together.
We will also be well served by 10ofThose providing a bookstall for us.

The cost for the retreat is £248, including food, refreshments, and two nights' accommodation (all en suite bedrooms).
