Ministry Wives Retreat is FIEC's retreat for wives of men in ministry in an FIEC church (bi-vocational or full-time ministry) or for those whose husbands are members of the FIEC pastors’ network.

The retreat is an opportunity for ministry wives to be refreshed through Bible teaching, training, fellowship, and reflection.

To get an idea of what the retreat is like, you can read Sarah Dargue's experience of the 2023 retreat.

Theme and speaker

We are delighted that Rachel Sloan, FIEC Director for Women’s Ministry, will be our main speaker at the 2024 Ministry Wives’ Retreat.

Rachel is Women’s Ministry Coordinator at Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh as well as working for FIEC where her role involves promoting gospel work carried out amongst women and by women in FIEC churches and equipping and encouraging women in ministry.

Rachel will speak from the letter of Revelation. Revelation is a book of the Bible which can seem strange and hard to understand. However, it is an immensely relevant, practical book which is written to be a blessing (Revelation 1:3).

We are to take these truths to heart as we live for God’s glory and look forward to the reality of heaven. Rachel will open up passages from Revelation and apply God’s truth to our lives and to the challenges and joys of being a ministry wife.

Elinor Magowan (also FIEC Director for Women’s Ministry) and Rachel will host the Ministry Wives Retreat and are working on a programme which enables ministry wives to be supported and equipped and to share together to learn from each other.

During the retreat there will be plenty of opportunity to discuss in small groups what we hear during the main sessions, and to pray together. We will be working hard to retain the feel of a retreat and ensuring that those who come are able to relax and be refreshed through our time together.

We will also be well served by 10ofThose providing a bookstall for us.

Booking

The cost for the retreat is £238, including food, refreshments, and two nights' accommodation (all en suite bedrooms).

Booking for Ministry Wives Retreat has now closed. If you would like to be added to a waiting list for a place, please get in touch.

We pray that Ministry Wives Retreat will be used to impact our lives so that we will be drawn closer to the Lord Jesus and encouraged to continue faithfully and joyfully in the work he has given each of us to do.
