SIM (Serving In Mission) UK
Training to help UK churches more effectively engage with the ethnic groups that God is bringing to their doorsteps.
- Find introductory information about what an intercultural church is, and how your church might move towards becoming more intercultural.
- Download free training resources that can be used to introduce your church to what it means to be intercultural.
- Register for a free online consultation with an SIM intercultural trainer who can discuss with you your church’s situation and advise on what training might be appropriate to help it move towards becoming more intercultural.
- Enrol in the ‘The Intercultural Church’ course and be linked to an SIM intercultural trainer who can coach you and your church throughout your journey to become more intercultural.
- Access ‘The Intercultural Church’ course content and training resources specifically tailored for your church.
Pioneers UK
The Culture Bridge course is a five-week online course run by Pioneers staff several times a year. It's aimed at equipping diaspora Christians with a greater understanding of British Culture, and enabling more effective intercultural relationships and cross-cultural evangelism with their British neighbours. The course is interactive and includes practical assignments. Cohorts meet once a week over Zoom, usually from 7:30-9:30pm. A workbook that runs alongside the course is supplied.
Content covered includes:
- Why culture matters and how it influences thinking about other cultures
- Culture Types and how the Gospel can speak to the heart needs of each culture
- The complexities of British Culture and specific aspects of English Culture
- Diaspora Christians in the UK
- Evangelism in Britain
- Sharing the gospel cross-culturally
The next course will run Monday evenings 12 January to 9 February 2026.
2:19 Teach to Reach
Resources to help churches reach ethnic groups with the gospel using English language teaching. They provide:
- Resources for English conversation classes
- Training to support teachers and volunteers, including resources and training in ESL and gospel outreach
- Membership – advice on setting up and running English conversation classes, and cross-cultural outreach and discipleship
