Planting to Reach Britain for Christ (Planters 2025)
More than 60 men and women involved in church planting came together in February to explore how to reach Britain for Christ through planting healthy churches.
We want to reach Britain for Christ. And that means we need to plant more churches. More churches in more areas to reach out with the good news of the gospel.
And we don’t just need to plant more churches, we need to plant healthy churches.
That is why FIEC organised a new event for 2025 called Planters: bringing church planters together to teach and train other planters and to spend time encouraging one another.
The main sessions were led by Tomáš Henžel, a church planter in Slovakia, who spoke from the Psalms on the heart of the planter. He urged church planters in the need to worship God and focus on him before the work of church planting can begin.
Seminars and short talks, led by church planters in FIEC churches, covered topics such as leadership development, keeping evangelism in focus, church planters’ wives, and intercultural ministry.
There was time to grow relationships, share news of church plants across the country, and to pray together.
Graham Beynon, FIEC Head of Local Ministries and organiser of the event, commented:
“It was so encouraging to spend 24 hours together to hear about new churches across the UK and to support one another in future planting plans. FIEC has a long track record of church planting that we want to build on together, and my prayer is that this conference will be a key part of that.”
Going forward, there is more support for planters from the FIEC Church Planting Team which offers ongoing coaching and support for those planting churches or considering a church plant.
