Introducing our Director for Yorkshire

Introducing our Director for Yorkshire

As we continue to develop our team of FIEC Local Directors, we’re delighted that Daniel Grimwade is joining us as Director for Yorkshire.

Daniel concluded his time as pastor of Dewsbury Evangelical Church in early 2023 after serving in ministry there since 2010. He will become our first Director for Yorkshire, with his role also serving churches in Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, and The Humber.

Across these four regions there are around 60 FIEC churches, so this will be a full-time role comparable in size with our local director roles in London and Scotland.

FIEC has been blessed with financial resources which are helping us to make appointments of new local directors, and it's our hope and prayer that our team of Local Directors will help to foster relationships amongst FIEC churches in different areas of the UK.

On top of this, they will also help churches experiencing difficulty, and engage with churches seeking to join the Fellowship.

Commenting on his new role, Daniel said: “Having been involved in supporting pastors and churches in various ways over the last few years, it is a real privilege to be set apart to do this work full-time. To be able to do this in the part of the world where I have lived and served for the past 22 years is a great blessing.”

FIEC National Director John Stevens added: “I’m delighted to welcome someone with Daniel’s experience to the Ministry Team. He is well respected by many of the pastors and leaders in Yorkshire and it is a natural fit to formalise the work he has already been doing in supporting churches in this role as a Local Director.

“Expanding how we are able to serve and support our churches is a key element of our strategy over the next few years and it is great to make this appointment.”
