Ministry Wives Retreat 2025
Refreshment and rest for women married to men serving in church ministry.
Ministry Wives Retreat is FIEC's retreat for wives of men in ministry. It's an opportunity for ministry wives to be refreshed through Bible teaching, training, fellowship, and reflection.
We hope you will return home re-energised and spiritually encouraged in your service for Christ and in your walk with Lord. We believe these three days will be a great blessing to you personally and, as a result, strengthen ministry marriages and enrich local churches.
To get an idea of what the retreat is like, you can read Kathryn Tearle's five reasons why you should go.
Programme
Our speaker for 2025 is Lizzy Smallwood, teaching us from the book of Haggai and applying it to our lives as ministry wives.
Lizzy is from Immanuel Church Bodmin in Cornwall and has been a Bible teacher at women’s events at home and abroad.
She spends her time being a pastor's wife to Simon, mum to three children, and as a part-time SEN art teacher.
Our Directors for Women's Ministry, Rachel Sloan and Elinor Magowan, will host the retreat and lead a programme to enable you to feel relaxed and refreshed, as well as supported and equipped as we learn from each other.
There will be plenty of opportunity to discuss what we hear in small groups and to pray together. We will also be well served by 10ofThose providing a bookstall for us.
Times and venue
The Ministry Wives Retreat will start at 4pm on Wednesday 21 May and end after lunch at 2pm on Friday 23 May.
The retreat will be held at The Hayes Conference Centre in Derbyshire. The Hayes offers us single-occupancy rooms with en-suite facilities, good food, and beautiful surroundings. We have a large meeting room and other rooms to meet in, plus it is easy to get to.

The cost for the retreat is £255, including food, refreshments, and two nights' accommodation (all en suite bedrooms).
Early bookers (before the end of January 2025) will receive a £10 10ofThose bookstall voucher - so get your booking in as soon as you can!

We pray that the Ministry Wives Retreat will be used to impact our lives so that we will be drawn closer to the Lord Jesus and encouraged to continue faithfully and joyfully in the work he has given each of us to do.
