Hearts on Fire: The Evangelism Conference

A Passion for Life’s Evangelism Conference will help church leaders keep their churches on mission to reach Britain for Christ.

As Cleopas and his friend walked on the road to Emmaus, speaking with Jesus (unknowingly!) about Moses, the Prophets, and how they pointed to the suffering of the Messiah, their “hearts burned within them” (Luke 24:32).

Of course, by the time they realised it was too late to recognise Jesus for who he was. But it affected them significantly, causing them to return to Jerusalem immediately to excitedly report that “the Lord has risen” (Luke 24:34)!

We believe that sharing the good news about Jesus must be at the heartbeat of FIEC churches. This is how we will be able to reach Britain for Christ: local churches going into their communities with the good news that “the Lord has risen”.

But so often our hearts do not burn within us. Our worship can grow cold for a number of reasons, and then our evangelism grows cold too.

In the midst of normal church ministry, we often need to be reminded of who Jesus is to reignite our hearts to drive us to the work God has called us to: making disciples of all nations.

And, as church leaders, we need to help reignite the hearts of our people to enable them to do the same.

The Evangelism Conference

The Evangelism Conference has been a regular fixture in many people’s diary. This year A Passion for Life are hosting and running the event and it will build on the best of the conference’s desire to “encourage and equip us to keep the churches we lead and serve on mission with hearts of fire”.

Dave Jensen, an evangelist in Sydney, Australia, will be speaking to help attendees think biblically and practically about evangelism in local churches. The conference is for church leadership teams, evangelists, and anyone else who has a heart for evangelism.

If you feel a coldness of heart when it comes to evangelism and need a reignition, this day is for you and your church

And if your church has “mission heat” right now, this day is also for you as you seek to be as effective in evangelism as you can be.

Book tickets for your leadership team to be encouraged and equipped to keep hearts on fire for God’s mission.
