Nidderdale Community Church is a rural church in the heart of Nidderdale in North Yorkshire.

We have a desire to grow in the knowledge and love of God and to make Jesus known through life and words to others in Nidderdale and beyond.

We are prayerfully looking for a man who loves God, his word and his people, who will work alongside the elders to encourage and equip for spiritual growth within the church and outreach to those who don't yet know Christ.

The role will require regular preaching, leading of discipleship groups, visiting church members, meeting and planning with the other elders. A more detailed job description is contained in the application pack upon request.

Required Skills

Some previous pastoral ministry will be required.

The successful applicant must be pursuing spiritual growth in their own life, committed to personal prayer and study of God's word, able to teach Gods word to varying ages and abilities, and also be able to engage and explain the gospel to non-churched people.

You should be a team player who enjoys engaging with people and building friendships, have a good level of personal organisation and be able to delegate, have a teachable spirit, being ready to learn.
