TCM Baptist Church in Lincoln is seeking a full-time pastor.  TCM is a well-established, very active church of around 90 members in addition to regular guests.  It is located in Lincoln City Centre and is a church 'Where everyone is someone and Jesus Christ is Lord'.  The successful applicant will have proven gifts of preaching and teaching and will help us to develop and execute our vision for growth.  He will be comfortable relating to a wide range of age groups from diverse cultures and will have demonstrated practical pastoral abilities.

Applications can only be considered from those who are UK citizens or who otherwise have a right to work in the UK.

Salary - On application (4-bedroom manse provided)

Transport - Must provide own transport (the church is about 6 miles from the manse).  Mileage expenses will be provided for non-commuting journeys on approved church business.

Required Skills

Essential competencies and experience:

A love of prayer and a gifted preacher who holds to the literal account of creation in Genesis.

Full adherence to the FIEC's Statement of Faith.

The ability and passion to develop mature disciples.

Ability to provide leadership in collaboration with the other elders (currently 2).

Willingness to empower and support other leaders, and to delegate appropriately.

Ability to identify and encourage the use of giftings within the church.

Desirable competencies:

Ability to teach children in an all-age service setting (a Children's and Youth Coordinator (CYC) does much of the day-to-day work with this group). Note: Children's service slots are roughly bi-monthly and the CYC or a team member are usually available to assist.

Ability to develop current and future leaders by coaching, mentoring and training.

Planning and management skills.

Skilled meeting chair and facilitator.
