Important Requirements

Applications can only be considered from those who are UK citizens or who otherwise have a right to work in the UK.

You will need to be able to declare wholehearted acceptance of the FIEC doctrinal basis and agreement with the FIEC ethos statements.

We are a gospel-centred, family church with the MAP of:

  • Making Disciples
  • Appointing Leaders
  • Planting Churches

Our heart is to love God and others in both word and action. We gather, grow and go from good news congregations and communities, seeking to live as good news citizens wherever we are.

With members from all generations and increasing ethnic diversity, we are a family united in Christ who are always seeking to welcome others in.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Loves the Lord and longs to know and serve Him more deeply.
  • Finds joy in making Jesus known within their local church and community.
  • Desires space, support, and opportunity to grow in faith, test gifts, and explore whether the Lord may be calling you into vocational ministry?

You will share in the life of the church family as you live, learn, and serve alongside our staff and members in many ways. You will be employed for four days a week which will include a day of training at the South West Gospel Partnership Ministry Training Scheme or other/further training by agreement in advance. With other time available you may choose to take on additional employment, study, or volunteer beyond the paid hours.

Required Skills

We are seeking someone who already has some life and ministry experience-serving in your local church, short term mission, or involvement in a Christian Union. You may have completed an apprenticeship or a degree, or you may be working in a secular profession while sensing a growing desire to devote more time to spiritual growth and gospel ministry.

This role is particularly suited to someone who is humble, teachable, and eager to grow in both character and competence as they discern their future path in ministry.
