Associate Pastor

Tabernacle Baptist Church (www.tabernaclebaptist.co.uk) is an independent Baptist Church (holding to the 1689 Confession). The Church is situated in Llandrindod Wells, the county town of Powys, and has a population of just under 6,000 people. The Church has 52 members with a Sunday morning congregation of around 80 plus; with the evening congregation being around half that number; being drawn from the town itself and surrounding villages. We have a regular weekly programme of services and events as well as a varied array of outreach projects. It is our aim to reach out in the gospel to the people of the town itself as well as to the surrounding area, supporting the smaller churches throughout the area as well as seeking to train Church leaders through our "Assistant Pastor in Training" programme. For the last ten years we have also led a revitalisation project at The Pound Chapel, Llanbister (12 miles north of Llandrindod).

We currently have three Elders (including our Pastor) and a diaconate of seven. We are looking for a man to join us in this gospel work - ideally a man who will already have pastoral experience, be gifted and experienced in preaching and teaching and with a heart call to pastoral ministry by making known the Lord Jesus Christ in word and deed and a commitment to involve himself wholeheartedly in the work and ministry of the local church.
