Assistant or Associate Pastor

Bridge Chapel is a independent gospel-centered church (size around 300) in South Liverpool. We exist to Glorify God by Edifying believers and Multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ. We're a diverse mix of ages, stages, and backgrounds, united by our love for the Lord Jesus, one another, and our world. Our community centre and cafe offer an exciting platform for gospel ministry, with strong links to the local community.

We're looking to appoint an Assistant or Associate Pastor (depending on prior experience) to work alongside our existing Pastor and staff team. The individual will share in preaching, small group ministry, and pastoral care, and will also oversee other areas depending on the individual's gifts and experience (e.g. seniors, outreach, music ministry, youth, children's ministry etc). They will also join our Eldership. Start date is flexible. Full time preferred, part time considered (potentially alongside formal study), permanent or fixed term, subject to discussion.

Required Skills

We are looking for someone with:
- A personal, mature faith in Jesus, seen in humility, love, graciousness, and purity
- A love for the lost, care for the needy, and a desire to build up the family of God
- A commitment to the ministry of God's word engaging the hearts and lives of individuals
- Evidence of gifting and experience in Bible teaching across a range of formats and contexts
- Desirable: experience in equipping and training others for word ministry
- Desirable: formal theological training (or currently in training).

This role has an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a male Christian in full agreement with our statement of faith and doctrinal distinctives.
