Visible Words
A three-part webinar course to draw lessons for better conducting baptism and the Lord's Supper in our churches today today taken from key moments in Independent church history.
Jesus commanded us to baptise and to celebrate the Lord’s Supper – so they must be important. Augustine said they were "visible words" given that will strengthen us in our faith.
But the sacraments have often been debated, misunderstood, and even neglected. In fact, Independents have been some of the most radical and traditional in their understanding of them.
In this webinar series, led by Graham Beynon, we will consider how the baptism and the Lord's Supper are understood to work, the variety of positions on them, and how we might better conduct them in our churches today.
