Grant Making Policy

Many churches make grants (that is, give financial assistance) to other organisations or to support individuals. This is often to support mission in the UK or overseas.

Any grants made must fit with the church's charitable purposes and must be for the public benefit. Trustees have a responsibility to ensure that the funds given are used for the purpose they were given.

A clear policy on the church's priorities and processes for offering grants can help trustees manage their responsibilities in this area.
