Jesus warned the Pharisees about cleaning the outside of the dish while leaving the inside unchanged. Unless discipleship grapples with motivations and emotions, we may change people’s behaviour without ever changing their hearts. This seminar lays a foundation for the sort of discipleship that engages ‘the thoughts and attitudes of the heart’ (Hebrews 4:12).
