Duncan Woods
Director for the North East
Duncan was a history teacher and in education for 10 years, first in Hertfordshire and then in the north east of England, before training in theology and pastoral ministry in Sydney, Australia, and in London.
He has been pastor of Trinity Church Sunderland since 2013, a revitalisation of what was Sunderland Free Church. He has also been on the steering committee of the North East Gospel Partnership and is a Crosslands tutor in the region.
In April 2026, Duncan was seconded one day a week to serve as FIEC's Director for the North East.
Duncan is married to Laura and they have four sons. He loves hiking in hilly and isolated places, and is a fan of most sports - a cricket tragic in particular.
