Are you passionate about seeing young people following the Lord Jesus, trusting God’s word, and living for him? We’re looking for someone with several years experience of working with children and young people in a church and who is:

  • Committed to making and growing lifelong disciples of Jesus
  • Faithful to the Bible in their ministry
  • A good, age-appropriate communicator
  • A team player, and self-disciplined

The role

The purpose of this role is to help lead our work of making and growing lifelong disciples of Jesus among the children and young people associated with Monyhull. Our hope is to see our young people grasp their role in the world, deepen their sense of belonging as children of God, and smoothly transition into adult church membership.

Main objectives

  • Develop the vision and strategy of children’s and youth ministry to grow passionate disciples and reach out to non church families
  • Support and equip families in the church as they disciple their children
  • Bring cohesion between various age-based ministries
  • Teach the Bible to youth and children and equip others to do so
  • Identify, encourage, train and disciple existing and new volunteer leaders
  • Help run our Thursday and Friday night Youth and Children’s groups

The church

Monyhull is affiliated to the FIEC and has recently celebrated its 35th Anniversary. It has a Sunday morning congregation of around 250.

Please visit our website (https://monyhullchurch.org/about-monyhull/job-opportunities/) to find out more about the church.

Application is by CV with a covering letter which outlines your vision for Youth and Children’s ministry. To apply, or if you have any questions please email [email protected].

The post holder will be teaching children and young people the Gospel and helping to resource and train families in how to bring up children in a Biblical manner. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement for this person to be an evangelical Christian, in full agreement with the doctrinal basis of Monyhull Church [https://monyhullchurch.org/about-monyhull/what-we-believe/]. The post is only open to candidates who currently have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
