Pastor in Training (Responsible for Students & 20s)

CityGates Church is a growing, vibrant city centre church of around 350 people in Norwich. We have a vision to see Norwich, Norfolk and the UK reached for Christ. Our vision includes training up and sending out the next generation of gospel workers.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team at CityGates. The Pastor-in-Training position will serve to develop you in a number of key areas: theological rigour, hands-on ministry experience and character formation.

The main area of ministry responsibility will be our student work and 20's. We have an established programme of teaching, discipleship and annual events and are looking for someone to oversee and develop this ministry. The candidate will have experience in leading a team and will be able to lead and work with the current student & 20's teams to continue our vision to make and mature disciples in Norwich, Norfolk and the UK.

In addition to this area of ministry, responsibilities will include one-to-one discipleship of students, visitation, teaching and preaching as well as supporting the established team as needs arise.

This position is for those who have already undertaken a Ministry Trainee/Apprenticeship type programme within a local church.
