Ministry Trainee

Cornerstone Church Portsmouth is an independent evangelical church, committed to glorifying God through bringing the gospel of Christ to the people of Portsmouth. Our Ministry Training Scheme is intended to prepare men and women for a life of faithful and effective gospel ministry in whatever context they find themselves.

Trainees will join the Equip Course (https://equipcourse.org.uk/the-course) each week in term time which aims to help people better understand, live out and teach God's Word in a variety of settings. Trainees will meet regularly with a mentor to pray and discuss different aspects of the Christian life and get to see ministry life up close by working with other members of the team. Trainees will also serve in various ministries including student ministry and children's work.

The scheme is voluntary and therefore there is no formal contract of employment or salary. We would expect Ministry Trainees to raise their own funds but will support you in this, and cover all ministry-related expenses.
