Christ Church Haywards Heath is a growing and diverse independent evangelical church with a broad mix of ages, social, and ethnic backgrounds united in the gospel. Our Sunday gatherings of around 200 people include a thriving children's and youth ministry, and our week is filled with small groups focused on discipleship and outreach.

We are seeking a dedicated Head of Ministry Support to direct our operations and practical support ministries. This crucial role will free up our full-time Elders to focus on preaching, teaching, leading, discipleship, and prayer and allow other ministry leaders to thrive. The role will be to provide strategic oversight and hands-on management of all our meetings events and facilities including our church office, properties, outreach events, Sunday meetings along with legislative compliance and HR functions.

  • Understanding principles of IT Systems
  • Self-starting with demonstrable leadership skills
  • Good understanding of the workings of an active evangelical church
  • Confident strategic thinker and initiative-taker, with the proven ability to analyse complex issues and find a range of solutions
  • Strong planning, organising and decision-making abilities who shows good judgment and appropriate confidentiality, demonstrating patience and flexibility good knowledge of IT and communications solutions appropriate for a local church context.
  • Competent using email, word processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing tools and web publishing methods
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with an ability to relate to staff at all levels of seniority
