Director of Operations

Christ Church Southampton is an independent evangelical church affiliated to FIEC, Reach South and the Pillar Network. The church is a busy, happy and growing community, committed to evangelism, discipleship, training and regular church-planting.

With our current Operations Manager beginning a new venture, we are now looking for a new Director of Operations to begin this Autumn 2025.

What's the job? Among other things, you will...

- Oversee the church office, including line-management of office staff and trainees
- Manage the church premises and compliance regimes, ensuring best practice
- Support the Lead Pastor and the staff, finance and eldership teams
- Assist in the development of volunteers and volunteer teams across the church
- Take a leading role in major church projects

- A mature Christian who is serious about living for Jesus, 'gets' church and has a servant heart
- A self-starter with a flexible mind, good people skills, a solutions-oriented approach and some managerial experience
- A quick learner who loves a challenge and is happy to get into different types of projects and processes
- A planner who can get things started, plot a way through, make good decisions along the way and see them to the end
- A resilient operator, happy to work in a busy and dynamic environment
- A good communicator who can work well with the team and adapt well to different relational contexts
