We are looking for someone with a passion for young children knowing the Lord, and some experience of teaching the Bible with a focus on Jesus, to lead the growing children's ministry in the church.

Areas to be covered include:
- regular teaching in Hope Kids, our Sunday children's groups (Hope Tots, 0-4's, and Hope Titans, 5-11's).
- leading children's talks during our Sunday service
- involvement in, or leading a holiday Bible club
- regular involvement in planning and delivering the Bible clubs in two local schools

This role will also equip the post-holder for further gospel ministry in the future through formal training, either the Cornhill Training Course in London or TEAM in Cambridge.

Hope Church Goldington is a growing, FIEC-affiliated church in Bedford. We have around 40 adults and over 20 children on Sundays. We are committed to loving God, loving others, and telling people the good news about Jesus.

Required Skills

- an ability to relate to a broad range of people, particularly children and parents
- self-motivation; the ability to manage your own workload and to respond to shifting priorities; the ability to work effectively both in a small staff team and with volunteers
- flexibility and creativity to function well within the unpredictable and varied stages of a church's life
- some experience of and ability to teach the Bible clearly, creatively and engagingly
- a willingness to learn and develop in this training role and to be flexible dependent on the needs of the church and your training.
