Important Requirements

Applications can only be considered from those who are UK citizens or who otherwise have a right to work in the UK.

You will need to be able to declare wholehearted acceptance of the FIEC doctrinal basis and agreement with the FIEC ethos statements.

Our vibrant, multi-cultural church on the outskirts of Nottingham serves a diverse community facing many significant socio-economic challenges.

We are looking for a person with a heart to understand and serve this community, someone with a passion and conviction that the gospel can bring positive change not just to individuals but to the community as a whole.

Over the past few years, the church has been wonderfully blessed by God and has seen extensive growth. We are looking for an individual to build on this blessing and to ensure that God's kingdom continues to be built in this part of Nottingham.

We are seeking someone with proven skills, who will work alongside the current pastor and eldership to strengthen the church's leadership, someone who we hope would in time, become the natural successor to the pastor.

Keeping Christ at the centre of all we do. As a church we know we need to have a clear vision of Jesus, to fall in love afresh with the one who loves us and gave Himself for us. We desire to see what He wishes to accomplish in His Church. We seek to do this in five areas: teaching, caring, worshipping, reaching, and praying.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work closely with the Senior Pastor by sharing preaching responsibilities (speaking once or twice a month), and participating in the planning and future direction of the Church
  • To lead and develop specific ministry teams, such as Prayer, Pastoral Care, and Youth, ensuring their effective operation and alignment with the church's vision
  • To work with the pastor and leadership team participating in the development and implementation of church strategy and policy
  • Hosting prayer times and life groups, Christianity Explored and Discipleship groups
  • Engaging in personal evangelism and one to one mentoring to develop individuals in their faith
  • Encouraging and developing others to be equipped to serve the Church and the surrounding community
  • Attendance at up to two weeks of activities away from church (e.g. camps or conferences)

Required Skills

Essential / Desirable Skills We are seeking:

  • An able communicator with a proven track record in teaching, preaching and pastoral care.
  • Someone who is deeply convinced of the vital importance of both reaching out to the unreached and nurturing the faith of those within the church.
  • A person who demonstrates a clear desire for ongoing spiritual growth, obedience to God's Word, and possesses a teachable spirit.
  • An individual with organisational skills and an ability to motivate others and delegate effectively.
  • A team player who is also able to manage their own work, administration and time effectively, working largely unsupervised.
  • Someone who has experience with different cultures would be a real advantage.
