Swindon Evangelical Church is a growing gospel-centred church situated at the heart of Swindon's historic Old Town. We recently celebrated 100 years, and we are on the verge of an exciting building project. We are a multicultural family of around 150 members with over 25 different nationalities and a broad range of ages including many families. Swindon is a large and growing town, and we think it's a great place to live!

We want to continue growing as a church which loves Jesus and wants to glorify him by making disciples. Our heart is to increasingly grow as a community of believers who delight in God, want to grow as disciples, and seek to declare the gospel to the world around us. We're praying that our community would find us to be a warm and accessible place for people to explore faith, and as well as providing deep roots to mature believers as disciples of Christ.

We are looking for the right man to join the team as Assistant Pastor from summer 2026. The role will be for 3 years, and after this we envisage the Assistant Pastor serving another church as Pastor, Associate Pastor or similar. The role will involve preaching, pastoral care and leadership of the church as one of the elders and being a trustee of our church charity. The Assistant Pastor will work alongside our Pastor and staff team.

Salary range £32,000-£35,000 (depending on experience), plus 8% employer pension contribution and expenses.
