Independents have a long history of considering corporate worship. It was instrumental in many people’s decision to leave the established church and key in the churches they founded.

However, having freedom to worship as they wished didn’t always mean they worshipped very well. Independent churches have often struggled to know how to worship within their culture and hold truth and emotion together.

This short webinar course, led by Graham Beynon (FIEC Associate National Director), will look at key moments in the history of independent worship and draw lessons for our worship today.

When are the sessions?

There are three webinars over three weeks on Thursday mornings. You must sign up for all three (if you miss one, a catch-up video will be available):

Thursday mornings

  • Thursday 20 November, 11:00 - 12:30
  • Thursday 27 November, 11:00 - 12:30
  • Thursday 4 December, 11:00 - 12:30

Who is it for?

Our In:Progress webinars are for all kinds of church leaders of FIEC churches: pastors, elders, women's workers, anyone for whom this topic will suit.
