Plains Evangelical Church sits on one of the main roads between Glasgow and Edinburgh, just 14 miles east of Glasgow.
Plains is a former mining village which saw rapid residential post-war growth. In recent years the village has grown rapidly again thanks to a new development to the north east of the village. Sitting on the Airdrie-Bathgate railway line, it makes the village strategically placed as a commuter village.
PEC is a small congregations that meets in a former mission hall. We have around 20-30 who gather in the morning and a little less in the evenings. We have various groups throughout the week catering for all ages. Although we are a small church, we have big ambitions and those who gather committed to serving faithfully.
