Fernwood Community Church is a church plant from Newark Evangelical Church. At the moment we are two congregations of the same church, but we are seeking to become an independent church in the near future.
We meet every Sunday morning at 10:30am in Fernwood Village Hall. On the second, third and fourth Sunday each month, we also meet at 6:00pm.
The morning service is our main meeting which includes singing (a mix of contemporary and traditional songs), prayer, reading and preaching from God's word (we use the NIV), and time for fellowship afterwards with refreshments. On the first Sunday each month, the service is followed by a fellowship lunch. On the other Sundays, primary children can go out to Sunday School during part of the service.
Our evening services (in the small hall) are somewhat more informal, but still include singing, prayer and Bible teaching.
Right next to the hall is a large, free car park. We are a friendly, welcoming bunch and we would love to see you sometime. There is no special dress code.
