City Church Chelmsford is a group of people whose lives have been changed by Jesus. We have a heart for God, one another and for Chelmsford. Our aim is to share the life-changing good news about Jesus with people from every background and make disciples who follow Him through every stage of life.
We meet at 9:15 and 11:00am. Come to either service - they’re exactly the same with all the usual groups for children at both.
Whichever service you attend, the first thing to expect is a warm welcome! Our welcome team want to help everyone – especially newcomers – have a positive experience.
Our main focus on Sundays is listening to the Bible explained and applied to life. Because we believe the Bible is God’s words written down. That it introduces us to God and shows us how to live well in His world.
Our meetings generally last an hour and fifteen minutes. They include a mixture of traditional and contemporary music, led prayers and regular communion services. We also have a creche and “Sunday Club” groups for youth and children (find out more and register here). We use a modern version of the Bible (NIV 2011). We wear casual clothing; there’s no dress code!
