Saltford Community Church is an independent Reformed Baptist church, situated in the village of Saltford, midway between Bristol and Bath. Our current pastor is looking to retire and we are seeking a man to lead the church ministry going forward.

The church holds to the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith and is committed to the inspiration and inerrancy of God's Word. We are also a cessationist church but understand that the Holy Spirit has a vital role in the life of every believer.

The church owns a modern, purpose-built premise, in which we provide a variety of meetings, including toddlers, Sunday school, a regular coffee morning and a monthly lunch club.

The church currently has a small but committed membership with a variety of ages and gifts. In addition we hold a regular mid-week Bible study and prayer meeting. This vital meeting is where we pray for each other, our community and the gospel witness in the area. We also study God's Word together with talks on a variety of doctrinal and practical subjects and often with lively discussion.

The Church's mission is to glorify God by worshipping Him, both with singing and hearing and obeying His Word, and to proclaim His gospel to anyone we can! We also aim to love one another and spur one another on to good works and Christlikeness

We are looking for a man who is committed to preaching the Word of God and who is passionate about taking the gospel into the community.

In line with our theological position, this pastoral role is open only to male applicants.
