Important Requirements

You will need to be able to declare wholehearted acceptance of the FIEC doctrinal basis and agreement with the FIEC ethos statements.

Grace Church Denbigh is an evangelical independent Church of our Lord Jesus Christ in the town of Denbigh, North Wales and we meet at Eirianfa Community Centre, Factory Place, Denbigh LL16 3TS. We were planted by Ebenezer Baptist Church, Mold, in 2013. Since that time, the church has had one Pastor, who was the church planter: Rev. Dafydd Cunningham. He recently began his ministry in Malpas Road Evangelical Church, Newport. We have an Elder and two Deacons to lead and serve us as a church. Grace Church is affiliated with the FIEC and holds to the FIEC doctrinal basis. We are in the process of becoming a CIO in our own right and will shortly be independent of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Denbigh is a town of approximately 8,000 - 10,000 people located in the stunning Vale of Clwyd. It is situated a 10-minute drive from the A55 and has a choice of primary and secondary schools. We meet in Eirianfa Community Centre every Sunday at 10:30am to worship, pray and hear from God’s Word and on a typical Sunday we may have around 50 members and non-members in the congregation, about a third of whom are Welsh speakers. We come from different backgrounds but seek unity in the Gospel of Jesus our Lord and Saviour.

Some of us gather at the community centre for breakfast, teas and coffees before the service and, after the service, there is a time for teas, coffees, cakes and fellowship. Periodically, there will be a church family lunch following the service when we typically operate on a bring and share model. During the service itself there is fortnightly Sunday Club provision for children and monthly provision for teenagers.

We typically have one mid-week meeting. This will rotate between Home Group Bible study, Prayer Meetings and Church Family Meetings. There is also a ladies’ prayer group that meets weekly. The Home Group meets at the home of two members, whilst the other meetings are typically held at Eirianfa Community Centre. We would also like to consider developing some form of youth work in the future.

We are a mission-minded church. In practice this means that we prayerfully and financially support overseas missionary workers and share regular updates at our services.

Closer to home, we hold an annual Carol Service in the community and we also ensure that we have a presence at the annual Denbigh Carnival for outreach work. We have also recently been sending a team to two local nursing homes to hold services for the residents in our role in developing evangelism in the town.

Our prayer is that we would continue to grow in our likeness to the Lord Jesus, and also grow in number over the coming years.
