Purpose of the Traineeship

To provide a focussed opportunity for someone interested in pursuing full-time ministry to gain ministry training and experience. The traineeship will provide opportunity to grow in Christian conviction, Christian character, and competence in doing the work of Christian ministry.

Informal training through involvement in all areas of church life: from helping to plan, set up and lead activities, to visiting church members, to giving Bible talks and preaching (as appropriate). In addition, there will be regular meetings with a ministry mentor who will work with the trainee to set goals and give feedback in order to maximise the benefit of the experience for the trainee.

The trainee will need:

  • Eagerness to serve.
  • Dedication to fulfil assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Willingness to embrace challenging situations as opportunities to learn and grow.
  • Commitment to develop discipline in the use of non-supervised time.
