Seeing the Need, Setting a Course.

Hundreds of thousands of people live without God and without hope. Tonnes of churches are finding pastors in short supply. Local churches have members needing trained for a range of work among men, women, kids, and internationals. These are just some of the reasons why you should consider whether or not vocational ministry is for you, and consider if a ministry apprenticeship might be the ideal context for exploring that?

The Ministry Apprenticeship Programme at Charlotte Chapel was created for this purpose; to train up gospel workers for the harvest field. We are eager to offer a clear, manageable path towards paid ministry like pastoral ministry, church planting, cross-cultural missions or women's ministry.

About the church.

Charlotte Chapel, a baptist church in the heart of Edinburgh. We have a wide range of leadership opportunities within the church, and has served as a greenhouse for gospel workers we've sent out. We are part of FIEC and the Pillar Network, and eager to train up and send out workers into the churches in Scotland, existing, new or needing new life.

About the Programme.

The Ministry Apprenticeship Programme at Charlotte Chapel plunges people into the everyday workings of local church ministry.

It provides:

  • Opportunities to work alongside experienced gospel workers who teach and model what ministry should look like.
  • A range of ministry areas where an apprentice can get their hands dirty, learning through supervised practice and constructive feedback.
  • Engages an apprentice in a process of intentional discipleship where holiness is as much a pursuit as honing any preaching gift.
  • Introduces an apprentice to a range of essential doctrines and ministry practicalities that matter in the life of a gospel worker.
  • A serious exploration of suitability for ministry
