Cornerstone Church (formally Gospel Hall Evangelical Church) is a family church with an average attendance of 30-40 where everyone is made welcome. We have a range of activities for all ages and our Sunday morning service is warm and friendly. We enjoy modern worship songs as well as the more traditional hymns and our emphasis is on practical Bible based ministry that seeks to build the church and make disciples.

We are committed to reaching out into our community with the good news of Jesus in a variety of ways, to enable young and old alike, to come into a living relationship with Jesus Christ, to discover the reality of forgiveness and the power to live a new life that brings glory to God.

Roles & Responsibilities:

o Working alongside and learning from current Church Leaders to develop outreach initiatives into our local community.

o Helping with our existing work with children and families.

o Visiting the families / carers of the children who attend church events to build up a relationship.

o Helping in weekly church activities.

Required Skills

o A love for the Lord Jesus Christ.

o A commitment to the local church and serving God’s people.

o A desire to see God’s kingdom grow, and a heart to work with other Christians and local churches to make that happen.

o Be able to work as part of a team, or on your own.

o A willingness to learn and try new things.

o Experience being part of, and serving in, a local church. It is an occupational requirement (in accordance with the Equality Act 2010) that the applicant is a genuine Christian with a personal, lived-out faith in Jesus Christ. You must be able to agree with the Church’s Statement of Faith.
