We are a Christ-centred, evangelical, cosmopolitan church located in a diverse area of south east London. Our mission: ‘Partnering together to know Jesus and make Him known’. We are affiliated to the FIEC.
We were launched 12 years ago as a church plant and since then have grown steadily, sending out a new church plant into the local area and setting up a CAP debt centre. A vacancy has arisen for an Associate Minister to join our team, working with the Senior Minister to take our vibrant church forwards.
The Role
We are looking for a man who will work with the Elders and Senior Minister, lead with vision and godliness, teach the Bible faithfully, encourage mission and help oversee pastoral care of our church family. Specifically, the role will focus on the following ministries:
- Preaching - supporting the Senior Minister and taking an active part in the preaching ministry.
- Youth - leading our youth group and seeking to serve the youth of the church.
- Fellowship groups - working with the Senior Minister leading, equipping and developing fellowship group leaders to minister and teach their groups.
We are a church looking to reach out with the gospel and equip one another to live for Christ. As such, other areas of ministry including men’s ministry, local outreach, Children’s Church and 1:1 ministry will also be part of the role as required/ opportunity exists.
Required Skills
A deep, personal commitment to Jesus and a lifestyle that commends the gospel
A love for God’s Word and a conviction that teaching the Bible is central to the role and to ministry
A commitment to daily personal prayer and Bible study
A passion for sharing your faith with others
Formal theological education or training is preferable
