Important Requirements

Applications can only be considered from those who are UK citizens or who otherwise have a right to work in the UK.

You will need to be able to declare wholehearted acceptance of the FIEC doctrinal basis and agreement with the FIEC ethos statements.

We are looking to appoint an Assistant Pastor for Sept 2025

The role will be adapted to fit the man appointed, but will include:

  • Regular Sunday Preaching
  • Pastoral work
  • Prayer for the Church
  • Work with the Evangelist
  • Participation in Elders meetings
  • Joining the Youth Work Team

Ideally the applicant will have completed theological training and be looking for a couple of years as an assistant before moving on to a Pastorate.

We would view the post as a training role, and the Pastor would be committed to deliberate weekly investment in mentoring and encouraging the assistant pastor.

The church is gospel driven, with a vigorous evangelistic programme each year as we seek to take the message of salvation into the local council estates.

Our mission statement is to glorify God by obeying the Bible: we aim to make Bible exposition the foundation of our Christian lives and ministries.

The church has increased to over 100 members and is both socially and ethnically diverse, which we hope will prove to be a useful context for gaining experience, for future ministry.
