Our church:

Send Evangelical Church is located in the county of Surrey, South East England, two miles south-east of the major town of Woking.

Send Evangelical Church is a community of God's people who exist to love God, love one another, and to love the world. We are a Bible-based, prayer-saturated, Gospel-centered and Spirit-filled church.

The church family is located in the Send, Woking and Guildford areas. They comprise a range of ages and situations, including a number of families. The church currently has an active membership of 50.

We meet regularly for prayer and to study God's word together. We have weekly and monthly Ladies & Men's prayer meetings, day and evening midweek home groups, as well as monthly Ladies' and Men's fellowship gatherings. We currently have a well-established toddler group and Sunday youth ministries, along with some children's work during the week. We have a strong relationship with the local school in Send and have regular opportunities to speak at their assemblies.

Required Skills

We are seeking a Pastor who meets the Biblical qualifications for an Elder found in 1 Timothy 3 & Titus 1. It is an essential requirement that the Pastor be a committed Christian, with his own daily walk with Christ. He will have a strong desire to continue to encourage the church in becoming committed and growing disciples of Jesus Christ by word and example.

We are prayerfully seeking someone with these characteristics and skills:

• Have a love for God, for his people and for his Word.
• Be able to communicate God's Word to all ages.
• Show Christian character in his own life, situation and in dealings with other people.
• Be evangelistic-minded, passionate about reaching the local community with the gospel.
• Be involved in the pastoral care of the church and the training, development and equipping of the membership.
