Cornerstone Church Nottingham are seeking to appoint a Director of Operations to join our staff team, as the existing postholder approaches retirement.

The Director of Operations:

• is a senior leadership role with overall responsibility for the operational aspects of the ministry activities of the church, including financial management, human resources, technology, buildings and facilities.

• plays a leading role in shaping the strategies and structures necessary for the effective operation of the ministries of the church.

• holds the specific responsibility of company secretary for the church's charitable organisation, ensuring effective financial management, governance and compliance with necessary regulations.

Required Skills

• Ability to think and act strategically and work at their own initiative as well as in partnership with others.

• Effective delegation skills and the ability to gather and lead diverse, multi-disciplinary project and operational teams.

• Ability to handle pastorally sensitive information with wisdom and discretion.

• Effective communication skills with those inside and outside of the Church.

• Effective commercial negotiation, financial planning and management skills.

• Knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory and compliance frameworks.

• An ongoing commitment to personal spiritual growth and prayer.

• The post-holder is expected to maintain high standards of care and compassion for people they engage with in the course of their work.

• To lead and work as a team with authority and grace, modelling servant leadership.• Agreement with the Cornerstone Church Confession of Faith(https://www.cornerstonechurch.org.uk/mission-and-values/)
