Trinity West Church aims to be a flourishing community, proclaiming hope in Jesus from Shepherd’s Bush, West London.

We are looking to appoint a Church Operations Manager who will help us work towards that aim. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the progress of the Gospel in this part of the city.

The Church Operations Manager will be key to assisting the elders by co-ordinating the practical aspects of our church life. This includes finance, administration, communication, and regulatory compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work alongside the elders, helping coordinate the ministry of weekly Sunday services, mid-week groups and other events in the church diary.

Assist the elders in their strategic oversight, and to facilitate change in church life as new opportunities and projects arise.

Help recruit non-pastoral staff, including interns and volunteers, leading them to assist with the practical life of the church.

Co-ordinate with the church treasurer to maintaining good financial control, reporting and budgeting.

Have delegated responsibility for regulatory compliance, including personnel/HR, risk management, health and safety, and data protection.

Co-ordinate internal and external communication (including with the Charity Commission, HMRC and Companies House) on behalf of the church and the Elders.

Maximise the benefits of technology to meet the church’s aims. (e.g. ChurchSuite, podcasts, website, Xero)


Required Skills

  • Eager to support the vision of Trinity West Church.
  • Great administrative skills and an eye for detail.
  • Experienced in budgeting and financial management.
  • Good IT skills. Experience with (or willingness to learn) Xero and ChurchSuite.
  • Able to communicate clearly and precisely.
  • Able to motivate volunteers and delegate tasks.
  • Able to respond flexibly to changes required at short notice.
