Beeston Free Church Nottingham is a large, community-based church in south west Nottingham. We have lots of families in the church and we'd love to hire someone who has a heart to serve our children, youth and families.

The purpose of the role is to oversee and lead our ministry to children (0-11), youth (11-18) and to families. A significant part of the role will be supporting, developing and training the extensive number of volunteers we have serving in our children and youth ministry.

Required Skills

It is essential that the successful candidate:

  • Is a committed Christian and seeking to grow as a disciple of Christ, committed to living according to God's word in prayerful dependence on Him
  • Is committed to the vision and ethos of Beeston Free Church and in agreement with our Basis of Faith
  • Is committed to private prayer, the study of God's word and fellowship with other believers
  • Has a demonstrable pastoral heart for others, particularly for children, young people and their parents
  • Be teachable and eager to learn
  • Has strong administration and organisational skills
  • Is willing and able to work in a team ministry environment, as well as having the initiative to work independently where appropriate
  • Has recognised gifts in teaching the Bible
  • Has excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Has strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Has previous experience of working with children in a workplace or church environment
  • Has personal and professional commitment to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults, displaying vigilance and modelling good practice.
  • Has previous experience of leading other people and able to relate well to a diverse range of people
