Contribute to the Government's Independent Faith Engagement Review
Church leaders in England have the opportunity to feed into a Government review into its engagement with faith organisations.
Over the past six months I have been delighted to work with Colin Bloom, who has been convening meetings for church leaders with the Minister of Faith and officials from the Department of Housing Communities and Local Government. He has now been appointed as the Government's Faith Engagement Adviser, leading a project to help the government understand how best to relate to faith groups in England.
Although this review began before the COVID-19 pandemic, its recommendations may well contribute towards how the Government engages with churches during the COVID-19 recovery phase and beyond.
This is an opportunity for Christians and churches to have our voices heard through an anonymous survey, and it would be helpful if as many evangelical voices as possible were able to contribute.
We may often feel that the Government does not listen to our concerns, but this is an important chance to express our opinion and influence future policy.
This consultation will last for 4 weeks from 13 November until 11 December 2020, after which Colin Bloom will make recommendations to the Communities Secretary.
