Get to Know…
As a family of churches, we’re passionate about working together to reach Britain for Christ. One of the best ways to foster these gospel partnerships is if we get to know one another better.
There are more than 560 churches in FIEC.
They’re all different. Some are big, others are small. Some are in cities, others serve rural areas. Some have a vibrant student ministry, others are reaching an elderly community.
But they all have something in common: every one of our churches is passionate about the gospel and want to see men, women and children come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
It’s this common gospel vision that unites us. It means we should be excited to pray for one another and be encouraged as we see what God is doing through our churches all around Great Britain.
Church leaders often hear about this great gospel witness at our conferences or in pastors’ fraternals, but what about church members? We need a better way to share news and prayer requests so that everyone in an FIEC church can be encouraged that they are part of something bigger.
That’s why I am delighted we’re launching Get to Know…
This is a brand new video resource for FIEC churches which is designed to introduce you to other members of the Fellowship and encourage you to pray for their work and ministry.
Each video will take around four minutes to profile two FIEC churches, while you can also download some prayer points to share after the video. We hope this will encourage you to get to know some of the churches across FIEC and pray for them in one of your regular meetings.
Our first Get to Know… features Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh and Moorlands Church in Lancaster.
We hope to release a new video every month so that you can pray for more and more of the churches in our Fellowship. Last year we toured around 30 churches and plan to feature as many of them as we can during 2017.
But we’re not going to stop there!
We want to send our film crew to more and more FIEC churches to show gospel ministry in different contexts around the country so we can get to know our churches better and pray for one another as a family.
Perhaps we could visit your church. Just drop us a line if you’re interested.
