To have responsibility for the Church’s Youth Ministry with the aim being to draw young people to Christ and to help them grow in Him.

Essential Activities
1. To give effective leadership to the youth ministry such that it will thrive and grow both spiritually and numerically under the hand of God. (1 Peter 5:2-3)

2. To train and equip young people for leadership at various levels within the youth work. (2 Tim 2:2)

3. To encourage young people into the church as they grow in maturity. (1 Corinthians 12:27)

Required Skills

It is an essential requirement that the Youth Worker be a committed Christian, with their own day to day walk with Christ. We are looking for someone who can fulfil the role on a full time or, if preferred, part time basis, initially taking care of the current youth activities in the church, but with scope for development of the role. The person will have a strong desire to see young people become committed and growing disciples of Jesus Christ, and has the skills, commitment and personality to achieve this. He or she will work with the church’s exceptionally devoted team of volunteers to run various groups ministering to young people in the church and beyond. There will be flexibility to develop other areas of pastoral ministry, with appropriate training, for a full-time appointee.
