Street Baptist Church is an independent fellowship, affiliated to the FIEC. We are a family church of over 100 members with around 150 regular attendees across the two Sunday services. Established over 200 years ago, we continue to reach out to the people of Street and mid-Somerset. Our vision is that we love and enjoy God, for His Glory, by hearing and accepting His word so that we may become more like Christ. We seek to love God’s people and serve Him in the church and the world.
We seek a Senior Pastor to lead the church, supported by our Pastor, Elders and Youth Worker.

Required Skills

We seek a man who has:
• Demonstrated vision and the ability to lead and effect change within a church.
• A deep passion for the gospel, and a love of God, who is wholly reliant on the Lord and the equipping of the Holy Spirit.
• A shepherd’s heart and love for God’s people that reflects the Good Shepherd’s love.
• The ability, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to open up and communicate the word of God, to warn, challenge, exhort and encourage God’s people.
• A heart for evangelism and the community we serve.
• The ability to equip believers to love one another and minister to each other.
• Strength of character, who is an efficient time manager, a self-starter and able to cope with the pressures of leading teams and the church.
