We are a growing church near the centre of Rotherham. We are big on Jesus, big on the gospel, big on the Bible, big on people, and big on getting people to understand the Bible, to know the gospel and to meet Jesus.
We are looking to continue our successful Ministry Trainee programme by recruiting another trainee to start in September 2019: joining our staff team, working with us and growing in character and competence.
We think training and developing skills is really important in ministry so we give our trainee the support to take part in suitable training in the Yorkshire area that will further equip them.
You will be involved in a variety of different things, from teaching the Bible to preparing rotas, Sunday School to youth work, admin to practical work. A distinctive of our programme is that your specific responsibilities are tailored to your gifts, skills and areas in which you would like to develop.
The role is normally for two years, although one year positions will be considered.
We are looking for someone who can work in our team, help shape the church with the leaders, work faithfully alongside them and point people to Jesus by what they do and what they say.
Applications can only be considered from those who are UK citizens or who otherwise have a right to work in the UK.
You will need to be able to declare wholehearted acceptance of the FIEC doctrinal basis and agreement with the FIEC ethos statements.
Rotherham Evangelical Church
Rotherham Evangelical Church is a community of believers in Jesus from a variety of backgrounds. Our aim is to represent Jesus and reflect his kingdom in Rotherham and the surrounding areas. Every Sunday we meet together in order to learn about and celebrate who Jesus is and what he has done for us.
We meet every Sunday at 4:30pm and at various other times during the week.
We are a church made up of people of all ages and backgrounds trying to be grounded in our belief in the Bible while striving to be accessible and relevant. We try to make our services understandable and accessible to someone who has never entered a church
